Dr. Elizabeth Chan

Dr. Elizabeth Chan, EdD, MIM, Certified STEM Educator, IRCA Lead Auditor ISO9001:2025. 

 

Dr. Chan has over 15 years of experience in the service and training, specializing in service excellence and operational improvement. Holding a Doctorate in Education from UCAM (Spain) and a Master’s degree in Management from CNAM (France), Elizabeth combines academic expertise with practical industry knowledge to drive exceptional results in fields of corporate training and service audits. Elizabeth is adept at utilizing tools such as mystery shopping and service audits to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies that take service quality to the next level. 

 

With dual identities and a life deeply connected to both Hong Kong and Macao, Dr. Chan traveled weekly between the two regions before the pandemic. As a mother to her young son, born in 2020 during the pandemic, she faced unexpected challenges when border restrictions altered her life plans. Her son was delivered in Macao followed by a three-year quarantine program that separated Macao and Hong Kong. During these times of social restrictions, she commenced to embrace the role of a home educator in Macao that she supplemented her son’s education with homeschooling materials, taking his son’s learning journey beyond the traditional curriculum. Although homeschooling is not permitted in Macao under Law No. 9/2006 (Fundamental Law of Non-tertiary Education System), which mandates school-based learning for children aged 5–15, Dr. Chan firmly believes that part of homeschooling techniques could be applied at every day’s life. For example, accelerated learning techniques and internationally recognized programs, such as GCSE, can empower children to learn at their own pace and enhance their mobility to other schools across regions and countries.
