Dr. Lai Mei Kei is a homeschool researcher, author, speaker, and educator based in Hong Kong. Her two homeschooling research papers and book are both academic and practical, as she homeschooled her daughter, Paris, and guided her to university at the age of 15. Now 17, Paris is in her third year at a university ranked 57th in the QS World University Rankings, majoring in Physics and AI. During her homeschooling period, Dr. Lai was her daughter’s sole teacher, instructing Paris in all subjects, including Physics, Calculus and advanced Calculus, Economics, Commerce, Mechanics, statistics, Decision-Making Mathematics, and more.

Dr. Lai holds two doctorate degrees: a Doctor of Education and a Doctor of Business Administration. Currently, she is pursuing her third doctorate at Heriot-Watt University (UK), with her research focusing on homeschool leadership.

Dr. Lai's two homeschooling research papers are the most comprehensive studies on homeschooling in Hong Kong, consisting of five chapters of in-depth academic research. Her papers offer both practical and academic insights into homeschooling in Hong Kong, making them invaluable resources for anyone interested in this educational approach.

Dr. Lai is an expert in personalized teaching pedagogy. By utilizing her specialized teaching methods, she has helped numerous students, including her daughter, advance in their studies and achieve outstanding A-level results in a significantly shorter time than the typical school learning period. For instance, Dr. Lai taught A-level subjects to a student who started studying with her at the age of 14. Remarkably, within just seven months, the student achieved 2 A*s and 1 A in Maths, Pure Maths, and Physics, receiving his A-level results at the age of 15.

Lastly, Dr. Lai is also a dedicated teacher specializing in various advanced academic programs. For the Doctor of Education, Dr Lai teach Education Research and Methodology and Thesis. For the Doctor of Business Administration, she guide students in Managing Strategy and Managing Human Resources. Additionally, Dr. Lai contribute to MBA programs by teaching Strategic Management, Business Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Leading Change.
